Privacy Policy

Your privacy is paramount. ZeroClaw is designed with a "Local First" philosophy. This policy outlines how data is handled when you use the ZeroClaw software and our website.

1. Data Collection & Local-First Philosophy

We do not collect any personal data. ZeroClaw is a runtime that you install and run on your own hardware. All data, including agent memories, identity files, and logs, stays on your machine. We do not have access to your system, your files, or the data processed by your agents.

2. Telemetry & Tracking

ZeroClaw does not contain any hidden telemetry or tracking mechanisms. The binary only communicates with the endpoints you explicitly configure (e.g., your LLM provider). Your usage patterns and commands are never sent back to us.

3. Third-Party LLM Providers

When your agents interact with third-party LLM providers (like OpenAI, Anthropic, or OpenRouter), your data is subject to their respective privacy policies. Since your agents may send your local file content or personal instructions to these models, we recommend reviewing the privacy policies and data retention settings of any providers you choose to use.

4. Website Privacy & Cookies

On this website (zeroclaw.net), we do not use cookies for tracking or advertising. We do not collect user analytics or store any session data. Our server logs may record basic access data (like IP addresses) for security and performance monitoring, but this data is not linked to any personal identity.

5. Data Security

While we implement security best practices in the ZeroClaw code, the ultimate security of your data depends on your environment. We recommend using encrypted drives and secure network configurations to protect the data stored locally by your agents.

6. Children's Privacy

Our software and website are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided us with information, please contact us (though we likely possess no such data).

7. Your Rights

Under regulations such as GDPR and CCPA, you have rights regarding your personal data. Because ZeroClaw does not store your data on our servers, you already have full control over your data. You can delete, modify, or export any data processed by ZeroClaw directly from your local filesystem.
